Equine dentistry

A horse that can't chew properly can't hold condition, can't take a bit comfortably, and can't do its job. Regular dental work is one of the cheapest ways to keep a good horse sound and working.

Book an appointment

  • 01 Routine floating Smoothing sharp points and edges so the horse can chew and carry a bit without pain.
  • 02 Full dental exam A look at the whole mouth — wear patterns, alignment, anything that needs watching.
  • 03 Young horses Caps, wolf teeth, and getting a horse started comfortably in a bit.
  • 04 Older horses Keeping weight on an aging horse often starts with what's happening in its mouth.

Who we are

Mckenzee Newton

Platinum Mountain Horses is based in Beattyville, Kentucky. We raise, train and place registered Rocky Mountain horses, and we do equine dentistry for horses across the area.

The horses listed for sale have been in professional training for months — and some for years — before being available for purchase. We take our time on each and every horse, making sure they have the experience and knowledge they need before going to their forever homes. No one wants to buy a horse with issues or things they need to fix, so why start now? We encourage all of our buyers to come take a ride with us to make sure it's the perfect match. At the end of the day, that's what really matters most.

My goal is to bring better horsemanship into the gated world. Balanced horses from teeth to tail. ⭐

Come see for yourself. Call and we'll set up a time for you to come out, meet the horse, and ride him.
